As a person with a chronic health condition, I ask you what does your model offer for us? It sounds like it offers a rain of bills. Because a free market model doesn’t work for the real world in terms of how medical conditions are actually distributed in the population.
This is reality. Chronic health conditions are distributed in the population in a way the market has caused. The poorest are the sickest. Sheer wear-and-tear, poor nutrition, and trauma have attacked my body in ways that people up the income/wealth continuum do not encounter. As many books have noted, “The body keeps the score.” Yet, somehow those of us with the fewest resources are supposed to turn around and fund these chronic health conditions. Explain how this works in your free market model.
