Barf — yes, they certainly did starting with the Presidency of Ronald Reagan and then paid for by corporate donations ever since. If these people can be this easily lied to that they can’t even bother to learn the history of globalization, they deserve the disappointment they get when those male, blue-collar jobs never return.
