Bless your heart, how are you? My sister was the cooing living doll I had always dreamed of. I wanted a sister for so long. I had three brothers before her. She was bubbly and she stuck her tongue out all the time. She was a happy baby. When she came home from foster care, she was sullen and non-responsive. Her attachment had been affected. She was moved between two foster homes and her older brother, my brother, John, reported that the two of them were physically abused in the second placement. That sister has multiple mental health diagnoses today and is regularly suicidal. (She would want me to mention that she has had two concussions, because head injury is an important cause for her, too, and they contribute to her poor mental health). Given all I know about the damage to her, I hope you are better off. Of course, you may not have our something like our genetics working against you either…gotta remember the nature versus nurture, ha.
