Don’t forget our $800 million budget “Voice of America” radio station. For perspective, NPR has a $150 million budget. The good news is that our Republican Congress decided to abolish the bipartisan commission that ran Voice of America, and instead make it overseen by a CEO the President appoints. So, I am sure this channel will be broadcasting something other than propaganda shortly.

What’s fun about this NPR article is that it says the idea to abolish the bipartisan commission was “Obama-backed” when in fact the backing was only his signature on the Defense Spending bill the Republicans put the line item into — a spending bill which Obama had to sign by December every year or the troops don’t get paid.
At any rate, Jon Stewart said on Late Night last night that the national language had been decreed, and it wasn’t English, it’s bullshit. There’s even that book, “On Bullshit.” So, I suppose that sounds about right.
