Given that King had pivoted around the time of his death to economic justice, anti-war, and many of the other issues you raise, I actually wonder if he might have become a fighter of social justice who gets his power from martyrdom. I wonder if he lived if he would not receive the treatment John Lewis does — which is to marginalize him as a “special interest.” It is just a thought?
