I don’t believe in saying whatever you want whenever you want to. It lacks civility, which can be broken down into undercutting civil society. I think you need to have a good reason to express the things you do, because we are a group-based species, and communication is the social glue that keeps us functioning. It’s the underpinning of “little white lies.” For example, I do not tell anyone their house is messy, even when pressed for agreement, because mine always is. Attitude makes a difference. There are people making a request; one I am familiar with making myself:
just stop talking about us and to us if you will not listen to us.
People with disabilities have a slogan, “Nothing about us without us.” It’s a similar principle.
