I guess there was a miscommunication. I was listing the economic elites to show how ridiculous their cultural elitism looks. The severe impact of Meryl Streep on the American population compared to the list I gave. The real to point out the ludicrous?
What it actually becomes is — these supporters are the cultural elites. They are white people who feel under attack by various groups who represent the “politically correct.” What everyone of these PC-hating people actually mean, and I know this from all of my time growing up with them, is that they don’t want to deal with racism, sexism, or any other ism. They want those issues to go away. They want the people in those categories to fall in line. Just act white, submit to the masculinity of the American culture, worship the American flag and the weaponry that under girds it. If you can’t do that, well then, you’re a problematic and uppity PC political correctness problem, I mean person of color. I’m so sick of the paint people try to varnish over this. It is what it is. Trying to translate the voters’ racism to pretty language that explains their behavior in something flattering like overthrowing elitism is just not playing.
