I know how you feel. I spent quite a few years hiding my tattoo from my mother. I’m “the good kid” in our family, and I worried she would be heartbroken if I became one of the “rebellious ones.” The tattoo I got in 1994 on the anniversary of my brother’s suicide. It is five autumn maple leaves wrapped around my ankle with vine-like stems. I have four brothers and a sister, and I got the tattoo as a homage to my deceased brother and my living siblings, to show how much they mean to me. My brother who died liked tattoos, so it seemed fitting. I don’t regret it at all and I never will, because whenever I look at it, I am reminded of the bond of brothers and sisters, and how much I love them.

Chances are I have a migraine. My spirit guides are Voltaire & Bierce. Considering making SJW into a religion. Genealogist
