This essay takes something that has no victim. A man with a son who has a disease, and allows him to preach about victims and their rights? I think not.
Victims have perpetrators. Those of us who have a list of perpetrators to contend with do not need to take personal responsibility for anything but our own behavior.
We certainly do not need to take responsibility for the behavior of the actual abusers. For example, one abusive thing Congress is doing now is giving billions to the wealthy in tax cuts while cutting billions in services. This is directly harmful to children. I know because the time they tried this two-fer in the 1980s, it resulted in me being taken away from my parents and put in foster care.
