You can’t be unaffected by the kind of chaos that kind of family life and poverty brings. I can totally understand why you left. You were amazing for coming back without the kind of intervention I was lucky to have. I was barely hanging on, and I had a support system from Upward Bound.

I appreciate the writing compliment. What’s funny is that I received this tweet from Grandma Grammar Check, who had analyzed four of my blog pages, and they generated a report of how messed up my writing is. I knew I had issues, and they confirmed it. Ha. ha.
